Counselling & Psychotherapy is….

simply - support.

Have you gone through life believing you shouldn’t ask for help? Perhaps you’ve always felt it’s ok to pay someone to work on an external problem - like your dental work, or a fault with you car - but not for an internal one? Are you ‘supposed’ to manage your stresses, your feelings, your worries alone? Have you ever stopped to question that belief? How is it serving you?

Counselling & Psychotherapy give an opportunity to talk through the things in your life that are burdening you. We humans are complex beings. My offer is to walk alongside you, to support you, to help you find ways to live and to be that bring you greater joy and more peace.

Counselling & Psychotherapy is for…

everyone.

Our cultures and upbringings often give us the message that we should 'Be Strong' or 'Be Perfect'; messages that going to counselling would undermine. That makes it a big step to take, because we can't Be Strong or Perfect and seek help. The truth is, none of us is invulnerable - we ALL have times when the responsibilities or relationships or crises in our lives feel unmanageable, regardless of colour or creed or culture or class. So first and foremost, well done for recognising this need in yourself for more support.

You do not need to wait to be at breaking point before you look for a therapist. Listen to your instincts, which have brought you here.

My 20 minute free initial consultation comes with no strings. Feel free to get in touch. Take the leap.

Using theories from Gestalt, Person Centred counselling and Transactional Analysis, I aim to tailor my approach to you.

You are unique. My integrative training enables you to work your way, at your pace. We can set aims, or simply agree to an exploratory way of working, giving you the freedom to discover what emerges.

My hope is for us to develop a trusting relationship. Within it you might brave the parts of your self and your history that need attention.
